Former Grand Gedeh County Superintendent, Christopher Beh Bailey, has called on women organizations from the county to unite under a common platform to accelerate development and strengthen their collective voice. Bailey made the call over the weekend when he served as guest speaker at the induction ceremony of the Blolequin Sisters for Development International.

Delivering his induction address on the theme, “One People, One Purpose, One Force,” Bailey emphasized that unity among women remains essential for the progress of Grand Gedeh County. He reminded members that despite belonging to different organizations, they share the same identity and responsibility. “Though you are members of different organizations, you are all daughters of one county. You share the same roots, the same vision, and fight for the same cause,” Bailey said.

He urged the various women groups to consider operating under an umbrella or mother organization to coordinate their efforts. According to him, unity does not mean losing identity but rather strengthening their collective influence. “Unity does not mean losing identity. Unity means multiplying strength. Unity means turning many small rivers into one mighty ocean,” he told the gathering. Bailey warned that division and rivalry among women organizations could undermine their ability to bring meaningful change.
He stressed that the future of Grand Gedeh women must be built on partnership, respect, and shared leadership.

“The future of the women of Grand Gedeh County cannot be built on rivalry. It must be built on partnership, respect, and shared purpose,” he said. The former Superintendent further noted that unity will enable women to attract greater support, influence policy decisions, and transform their communities. He also called on members of the Blolequin Sisters for Development International to remain committed and support their leadership.
“An organization cannot grow where there is division, and an organization cannot survive where unity is missing,” Bailey warned.

He concluded by urging women organizations to choose cooperation over competition.
“When we unite, no challenge can defeat us, and no force can ignore us,” Bailey added.
The Blolequin Sisters for Development International is a women’s organization established by women of Grand Gedeh County who returned to Liberia after living in exile in Ivory Coast during the civil crisis. The organization focuses on women empowerment, community service, and development.
