The Chief of Staff of Guinea’s Armed Forces, has delivered a firm warning in response to recent border tensions with neighboring Liberia and Sierra Leone.Speaking on state broadcaster Radio Télévision Guinéenne (RTG), he stressed that Guinea will not surrender “any portion of land” and pledged to safeguard the country’s sovereignty at all costs.General Bangoura revealed that Guinea’s territorial integrity had been violated during recent incidents along its borders.
He noted that detailed technical reports have already been submitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, following instructions from President Mamadi Doumbouya.“We will defend every inch of our territory,” he declared, underscoring the military’s readiness to respond to any further encroachments.
The statement highlights Guinea’s uncompromising stance amid heightened regional tensions. With diplomatic channels now engaged, the government is signaling both resolve and preparedness to protect its borders while awaiting further developments.
