BnB and UBA Liberia Launch New Money Transfer Service

United Bank for Africa (UBA) Liberia, in partnership with fintech company BnB, has officially launched a new money transfer service designed to make it easier, safer, and faster for Liberians to send and receive money both locally and internationally. Speaking at the launch event held at UBA Liberia’s Head Office in Monrovia, Mr. Ayokunle Olajubu, Managing Director of UBA Liberia, described the partnership with BnB as a major step forward in expanding financial access across Liberia. He announced the launch of Rapid Transfers with BnB through UBA, a secure and user-friendly service that provides more options for individuals and businesses to move money. According to Mr. Olajubu, the service allows customers to send and receive funds seamlessly across several African countries, including Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Uganda, Rwanda, Mali, and Senegal. In addition, it enables transfers to major global destinations such as China, the United States, Europe, and other parts of the world. “This new service reflects UBA’s commitment to financial inclusion and to making banking more accessible to everyone,” Mr. Olajubu stated. “Through our collaboration with BnB, we are empowering Liberians with the ability to connect financially with families, friends, and businesses worldwide.” Also speaking at the event, Mr. David Ojo, Managing Director of BnB, highlighted the company’s mission to transform financial services in Liberia and across Africa. “BnB is building solutions that make digital payments and money transfers faster, cheaper, and easier. By leveraging mobile wallets, bank transfers, and USSD codes, we are helping unbanked populations, supporting small businesses, and promoting cashless payments,” he said. Mr. Ojo emphasized that BnB is committed to driving economic growth by offering reliable, safe, and affordable financial solutions for all Liberians.
