The newly appointed Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports, Hon. Alphonso Belleh, has called on the citizens of District #7, Nimba County, to embrace peace, unity, and reconciliation as the foundation for sustainable development and community progress. Speaking during a Peace and Reconciliation Program in District 7, Hon. Belleh described the gathering as a testament to the resilience, courage, and unyielding spirit of unity among the people of Nimba. He emphasized that in times of national renewal and transformation, the collective will of the people remains the greatest catalyst for growth and progress. “It is a profound honor to stand before you today at this Peace and Reconciliation Program, a gathering that reflects the resilience and spirit of unity among the great people of District 7,” Hon. Belleh said.,  

“Today, you come together not just as individuals, but as a cohesive force, recognizing that our strength lies in our ability to unite for the common good.” He urged citizens to embrace the vision of the JNB-JKK Administration, led by President Joseph Nyuma Boakai and Vice President Jeremiah Kpan Koung, which is rooted in inclusion, dialogue, and respect for all Liberians. “The JNB-JKK government embodies the ideals of unity and mutual respect, believing wholeheartedly that these principles are essential for our collective advancement,” he noted. “It is through unity that we build bridges of understanding and pave the way for progress.” Deputy Minister Belleh also lauded the efforts of Hon. Roger S.W. Domah, former Representative of District #7, describing him as a true son of the soil and a leader whose integrity, compassion, and dedication to service reflect the aspirations of the people he represents. 

As you gather in support of Hon. Roger Domah a son of this land remember that he is not just a leader; he is a friend dedicated to your welfare,” Hon. Belleh continued. “His presence in this reconciliatory process symbolizes hope and commitment to fostering a brighter future for all.” Addressing the ongoing period of political transition in Nimba County, particularly following the absence of Senator Prince Y. Johnson, the Deputy Minister urged citizens to remain steadfast in peace and to rally behind their leaders, including their two sitting senators and the Vice President of Liberia, who is also a proud son of Nimba. “In this significant time of transition, your community stands at a crossroads,” he cautioned. “Now, more than ever, the call for unity is paramount. You must rally together to support not only Hon. Domah but also your two esteemed senators and the Vice President. It is through their leadership that you can navigate the challenges ahead and address the issues that threaten to sow discord among you.” 

Hon. Belleh emphasized that development is not the work of one individual but a shared responsibility that requires collaboration, trust, and sacrifice. He urged citizens to rise above personal differences, find common ground, and work together for the greater good of District #7 and Nimba County at large. “Progress is born not from division but from collaboration and respect,” he stressed. “Let us find common ground in our aspirations and dreams for a prosperous District 7. By working together, we can overcome any obstacle and ensure that our community flourishes and our voices are heard.” “As you embark on this essential journey of reconciliation, I urge each of you to reflect on the power of unity,” he said. “Stand firm beside your leaders; foster dialogue and understanding within your communities. Together, let us mitigate the issues that seek to divide us and instead focus on building an enduring legacy of peace and cooperation.” “Let us walk forward as a united force dedicated to the principles of mutual respect and development,” he concluded. “Together, we can transform challenges into opportunities and create a future that honors the dreams of all. Stand with Hon. Domah, embrace the spirit of unity, and let us propel District #7 into a brighter tomorrow.”
