Police in Careysburg have launched an inquiry into the death of a 17- year old girl identified as Elitta Lordia in Kingsville Town, Rural Montserrado County. Our Correspondent is quoted as saying the incident occurred recently when the deceased got into a serious fist fight with an 18-year year old boy also identified as Paul McGill during a misunderstanding over a mobile phone commonly known as “button phone.” Suspect Paul McGill is currently in police custody as the investigation progresses pending trial following an official charge by the Police.
Family sources told our Correspondent that after the scuffle, the deceased was immediately rushed to a medical center kin Kakata, Margibi for medication after she complained about a severe stomach ache. Elitta, the sources also revealed, was transferred to Du-Side Hospital in Firestone where she was later pronounced dead on Monday, October 13, 2025. Though circumstances surrounding the death of Elitta are still unclear in the absence of medical report, community residents of Kingsville Township have so far attributed the incident to the alleged physical assault inflicted on her during the scuffle between them in the past ten days. Investigation continues.
