The Ministry of Education of the Republic of Liberia has initiated steps to formalize a new partnership with the Republic of Uzbekistan, following a productive bilateral meeting held on the sidelines of the UNESCO General Conference in Samarkand.During the discussions, the Minister of Education, Hon. Dr. Jarso Maley Jallah, and the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Hon. Kongratbay Sharipov, explored areas of mutual interest aimed at advancing educational cooperation between the two countries.
The proposed collaboration will focus on student and teacher exchanges, scholarship opportunities for Liberian students to pursue higher education and technical training in Uzbekistan, youth entrepreneurship, and the promotion of STEM education.This partnership reflects Liberia’s ongoing commitment to expanding international cooperation in education, fostering innovation, and creating new global learning opportunities for Liberian youth.
