In a show of unity and religious tolerance, Former President George Weah, standard bearer of the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), led a delegation of high-ranking CDC officials in a visit to the Newport Street Mosque in Monrovia on Friday afternoon to participate in Friday's Jum"ah prayers.
The worship service, aimed at fostering unity and interfaith engagement, saw the delegation seeking divine blessings for the CDC's proposed party headquarters construction.


In a gesture of gratitude, the standard bearer of the CDC extended his appreciation to the leadership of Newport Street Mosque for their prayers. Weah  reaffirmed the CDC's unwavering commitment to religious tolerance, echoing his party's dedication to inclusivity and respect for diverse faiths.
Former President Weah and other CDC leaders were warmly welcomed by  religious leaders and congregation. The visit highlighted the party's dedication to religious tolerance and building a unified national identity.


The Friday jum'ah prayers come in  days after the CDC broke ground for the construction of a new party headquarters in Congo Town.  The party's decision to build a permanent headquarters signals its position and enhances its operational capabilities.
