The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) on December 17, 2025, at approximately 8:00 AM, officers of the LDEA Grand Gedeh Detachment, in collaboration with the Liberia Immigration Service (LIS), arrested a suspect, Jackson Ikechukwu, a 38-year-old Nigerian national.
The arrest took place at a bypass power crossing point commonly known as Jamaica. The suspect was found in possession of three (3) large bundles and three (3) small plastic bags of kush, one plastic bag of precursor The Kush weighed 211.8 grams, eighty (80) strips of tramadol 112.8 grams, and raw cocaine 44.7 grams.With an estimated street value in LRD 1,586,061, or its USD 8,347.69. The suspect has been charged with illegal possession of narcotics and is currently awaiting court trial as per the drug law.
