President Joseph Nyuma Boakai has issued a stern warning to his cabinet, making it clear that discipline, accountability, and unity will define his administration. Speaking at the Executive Mansion during the first cabinet meeting of the year, Boakai emphasized that no official is indispensable and vowed to dismiss anyone found undermining collective decisions.

“Nobody here means so much that they cannot be removed,” he declared, urging ministers to raise disagreements openly rather than secretly obstructing agreed policies. He stressed that internal sabotage would not be tolerated and that every minister must faithfully execute their responsibilities. The meeting focused on reviewing progress under the ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development (AAID), which prioritizes agriculture, roads, rule of law, education, sanitation, and tourism. Boakai reminded his team that citizens expect tangible results, not excuses, and repeated that the government’s mandate is to deliver solutions that improve lives.

He singled out the Ministry of Justice, underscoring its role as the government’s legal counsel and warning that incorrect advice would carry consequences. On resource management, he reaffirmed that Liberia’s natural wealth must serve the people.
He announced stricter oversight of investment agreements and assigned the Vice President to directly supervise the Putu Mountain iron ore concession to ensure it contributes meaningfully to national development.

The President cautioned that distractions and disunity would only slow progress.
“We cannot afford to waste time on division,” he said, highlighting the urgency of collective effort in addressing Liberia’s challenges. His remarks reflected growing concerns about internal divisions within the government and signaled a hands-on approach to governance. The President said that his administration will remain focused on discipline, accountability, and delivering results for the Liberian people.
