Star Bet Liberia Donates 34 Bags of Rice and Cash to Elwuo Orphanage Home in Humanitarian Outreach

In a heart-warming display of corporate social responsibility (CSR), Star Bet Liberia, a leading sports betting company operating in Liberia, over the weekend donated 34 bags of rice and a cash prize to the Elwuo Orphanage Home as part of its efforts to support vulnerable children in the community. The donation was made to help meet the basic needs of the children and staff at the Elwuo Orphanage Home, a facility that cares for children who are orphaned, abandoned, or otherwise without family support.

The rice donated will contribute to nutritional support for the children in the coming weeks, while the cash prize is intended to help cover daily operating costs and other essential needs. The presentation of the items  made by Star Bet country Mr Brian   Nkuruh was marked by gratitude and appreciation from representatives of the orphanage and community leaders. Star Bet Liberia Country Manager Mr Nkuruh emphasized the company’s commitment to giving back to society and supporting those in need, especially children who are among the most vulnerable members of Liberian society.

“Our mission goes beyond business — we are part of this community, and we believe in lifting each other up,” the representative said, highlighting that corporate social responsibility remains a core value of Star Bet Liberia’s operations. He said the company will pay each teacher salary for the entire year, this he said will help reduce the constraints face by the orphanage home administration. Receiving the items the administrator of Mother Eleanor Y. Wuo from the Elwuo expressed deep appreciation for the donation, noting that contributions like this play a significant role in ensuring the well-being and development of the children under their care. 

She also called on other companies and individuals in Liberia to support similar initiatives to help improve the lives of disadvantaged children across the country. 
Mother Wuo further stated that gesture by Star Bet Liberia is part of a broader trend of private sector engagement in social welfare efforts across Liberia, where companies are increasingly partnering with communities to address food insecurity and support vulnerable populations.
