
The vice president of the National Oil Company of Liberia (NOCAL), Mr. Rixck Barsi-Giah his notes with attention a public statement on his personal social media page regarding ongoing investigations involving Senator Nathaniel McGill. The statement, posted under his personal handle, has since drawn significant public interest and reactions across the country. In his post, Mr. Barsi-Giah asserted that “before the end of 2026, all investigations concerning Sen. Nathaniel McGill’s alleged theft of government money will be concluded.” He further stated that “He will be charged, and most likely, he will be accompanied by the ‘orange jumpsuit.’”
The post concluded with a pointed warning directed at individuals he described as issuing “feeble and insensitive threats,” adding: “Don’t think we are sleeping on yah! Continue with your feeble and insensitive threats. Rixck-50.” The leadership of NOCAL clarifies that the views expressed by Mr. Barsi-Giah represent his personal opinions and do not reflect the official position, policy, or conclusions of the National Oil Company of Liberia.
