The National Social Security and Welfare Corporation (NASSCORP), through its medical arm, Jahmale Medical Solutions Center, has officially launched a state-of-the-art Fluoroscopy Unit and a newly designed Holding Room, marking yet another milestone in its commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery in Liberia.

The recent unveiling ceremony of the Jahmale facility in Congo Town, brought together dignitaries, healthcare professionals, and NASSCORP executives to witness what has been described as a “transformational addition” to the country’s diagnostic and patient care infrastructure.

The Fluoroscopy Unit represents a breakthrough in modern imaging technology, enabling real-time moving X-ray visualization of internal structures.

This advanced equipment is crucial in diagnosing complex conditions affecting the gastrointestinal tract, musculoskeletal system, and vascular structures.

The technology enhances precision in medical evaluations and supports physicians in performing minimally invasive procedures with greater safety and accuracy.

Speaking at the ceremony, NASSCORP’s Director General, Dewitt von Ballmoos, emphasized the institution’s drive to ensure Liberians have access to cutting-edge medical technologies without the need to travel abroad.

“This investment reflects NASSCORP’s vision of delivering world-class diagnostic services that meet international standards while remaining affordable and accessible to all Liberians,” he noted.

Alongside the Fluoroscopy Unit, Jahmale also unveiled a newly designed Holding Room, built to ensure patient comfort before and after diagnostic procedures.

The Holding Room is equipped with modern amenities to provide a safe, relaxing environment for patients awaiting treatment or observation, further reinforcing Jahmale’s patient-centered approach.

The Medical Director of Jahmale Medical Solutions highlighted that the new additions complement the center’s already extensive diagnostic services, which include MRI, CT scan, ultrasound, and laboratory investigations.

“We are not only investing in equipment but also in patient experience and safety. This Holding Room ensures that patients receive care in a dignified, professional, and comfortable environment,” he said.

Since its establishment, Jahmale Medical Solutions Center has been at the forefront of transforming healthcare services in Liberia, offering high-quality diagnostic and clinical solutions to thousands of patients annually.

With the addition of the Fluoroscopy Unit and Holding Room, the facility is now positioned as one of the most advanced diagnostic centers in the region.

NASSCORP, however, reaffirmed its commitment to continuous investment in medical infrastructure, capacity building, and innovative healthcare solutions that align with the government’s broader goal of improving health outcomes across Liberia.
