Pres. Boakai Dismisses Dep. Justice Min. Massa Jallabah, Nominates Cllr. Cora Konuwa as Replacement

 The President of the Republic of Liberia, His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has with immediate effect dismissed Deputy Minister for Administration at the Ministry of Justice, Madam Massa Jallabah. In a decisive move aimed at reinforcing accountability and strengthening leadership within the justice sector, President Boakai has nominated Cllr. Cora Konuwa to serve as the new Deputy Minister for Administration at the Ministry of Justice. Cllr. Konuwa’s nomination was among several key appointments submitted to the Liberian Legislature for confirmation on Tuesday. She brings with her a distinguished record of public service, legal experience, and institutional leadership, and is expected to play a critical role in advancing the President’s justice reform agenda. Known for her integrity and commitment to public service, Cllr. Konuwa is expected to improve internal administrative efficiency, promote transparency, and ensure alignment with the broader goals of the Ministry of Justice under the Boakai administration. In a related development, President Boakai has also nominated Mr. Peter Solo, former Superintendent of Grand Gedeh County, to serve as Director-General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA). Mr. Solo’s nomination is also subject to confirmation by the Liberian Senate. Mr. Solo, a seasoned public servant, is expected to revitalize the operations of the National Lottery Authority and ensure that the institution fulfills its mandate of generating revenue for national development, while upholding transparency and accountability in all of its dealings.
