Watanga Stay Top Despite Borough Scare as Bea Mountain, Warriors, and Heaven Eleven Shine — Round Six Updates

Round Six of the 2025/26 LFA First Division League delivered another thrilling weekend of football across Liberia, filled with statement wins, surprise results, and impressive performances from teams battling for early-season momentum. ‎League leaders Watanga FC (1st – 14 points) maintained their position at the summit despite being pushed to the limit by Borough FC (7th – 9 points) in a tightly contested fixture at the D. Tweh Field.

‎Goals from Darius Garmondeh and Varney B. Varney secured a hard-fought 2–1 victory for Watanga, extending their unbeaten run to six matches. ‎Borough’s lone goal came from Emmanuel Toe, but it wasn’t enough to stop the most inform club from holding on to top spot. At the Momo Tweh Field, Bea Mountain (11th – 6 points) bounced back in style with a convincing 3–0 win over Paynesville FC (3rd – 10 points).

Forward Ralph Weah struck twice, while Frederick Dennis added another as the Gold Boys produced one of their best performances of the campaign, handing Paynesville their second loss of the season. ‎In Gompa, FC Fassell (5th – 10 points) earned a narrow 1–0 victory over Discoveries SA (9th – 7 points), thanks to a decisive strike from Otalie Sie. ‎The result was a morale booster for Fassell following recent managerial uncertainty, while Discoveries slipped further down the standings after a narrow defeat.

‎Meanwhile, Black Man Warriors (8th – 7 points) returned to winning form at the SKD Practice Pitch, cruising to a 3–1 victory over Wologisi FC (10th – 7 points). Goals from Augustine Daugouga, Benjamin Sackor, and Moses Weah sealed the Warriors’ second league win of the season, while Chukwuemeka Oyieke netted the only goal for Wologisi. ‎At the Dorris Williams Stadium, Heaven Eleven (6th – 9 points) edged Downtown FC (14th – 3 points) 2–1 in another close contest.

Moses Copper and Kulah Gorloryorn were on target for Heaven Eleven, with Myers Swen scoring the consolation for Downtown, who remain bottom of the table. ‎Elsewhere, at the Tusa Field, Gardnersville FC (4th – 10 points) continued their resurgence with a dominant 3–0 victory over Freeport FC (13th – 4 points). ‎Joseph Taylor, Troko Yancy, and Lusine Shaka all found the net to keep Gardnersville climbing up the table and level on points with Paynesville and Fassell.

‎In the second fixture at Tusa, LISCR FC (2nd – 13 points) returned to winning ways with a hard-fought 1–0 victory against LPRC Oilers (12th – 6 points), bouncing back after their draw with Watanga in the previous round. ‎Sebastian Teclar’s lone goal proved the difference between the two sides as LISCR stayed just one point behind the leaders.
