The Managing Director of the Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC), Hon. Mohammed Sherif, and the Minister of Information, Hon. Jerolinmek M. Piah, on Friday conducted a joint inspection of the ongoing ELWA Junctionโ€“RIA corridor streetlights project to assess progress on the implementation. During an interview with state radio ELBC, and other media outlets, Hon. Sherif disclosed that the first phase of the project is nearing completion. 

He assured the public that the first phase of the project is expected to be switched on by Christmas, marking a significant milestone in the governmentโ€™s effort to improve public safety, enhance the corridorโ€™s ambience, and increase visibility for travelers along one of the countryโ€™s busiest routes. 

Information Minister Jerolinmek Piah emphasized the importance of the project, noting that once the lights are switched on, they will play a crucial role in improving safety and security for motorists, pedestrians, and all road users in the area. The joint assessment underscores the governmentโ€™s commitment to delivering reliable public services and creating a safer environment for citizens and commuters.
