DSTV Liberia Denies Rumors of Subscription Price Hike

DSTV Liberia has dismissed widespread rumors suggesting an increase in subscription fees, assuring customers that prices across all packages remain unchanged. Speaking at a press briefing, Hawa Farkollie, Customer Service Manager at The Consolidated Group Inc. the exclusive service provider of DSTV in Liberia clarified that the company has not adjusted its pricing structure. “There has been no increase in our monthly subscription fees,” Madam Farkollie stated. “Our packages remain the same: Access at US$8, Family at US$13, Compact at US$23, Compact Plus at US$36, and Premium at US$61.” She attributed the misinformation to the recent expiration of a promotional campaign that offered new customer installations at a reduced fee of US$15. With the promotion now ended, the standard installation cost of US$70 has resumed. “That amount covers the hardware including the dish, decoder, LNB, and cabling—as well as a one-month subscription,” she explained. “This is a one-time connection fee and should not be confused with the monthly subscription rates.” Madam Farkollie emphasized that rising import duties and other external economic factors may influence hardware pricing, but reiterated that DSTV’s monthly subscription costs remain stable. She urged customers to seek information through official channels, warning against misinformation circulating on social media. The public is encouraged to visit DSTV Liberia’s head office in Fiamah, Monrovia, or contact the company’s customer service lines for accurate updates. “We value transparency and affordability,” she said. “Customers should always reach out to us directly to avoid confusion.” DSTV Liberia continues to provide a diverse selection of entertainment, news, sports, and lifestyle content, maintaining its commitment to delivering quality service at consistent prices.
