Delivering Liberia’s national statement, Minister of Education Dr. Jarso Maley Jallah declared that “peace is not declared, it is taught,” underscoring education as the foundation of inclusive progress.She highlighted key priorities, foundational learning, teacher training, STEM, TVET, and equitable access, central to Liberia’s ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development.
Welcoming the new African Director-General, Dr. Jallah called for fairness in heritage recognition and urged that a Liberian site be inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, honoring Africa’s shared story.Reaffirming Liberia’s philosophy of “not aid, but alliance; not dependency, but shared destiny,” she emphasized that lasting progress depends on multilateral cooperation, nations working together to transform education systems and empower learners everywhere.
