Twenty-six (26) Liberian students have departed from Roberts International Airport (RIA) for the Kingdom of Morocco to pursue higher education on full scholarships, marking another important step in the Government of Liberia’s efforts to expand access to quality tertiary learning opportunities. The scholarships were secured under the Government of Liberia’s Bilateral Scholarship Program, coordinated through the Ministry of Education (MoE). Staff from the Ministry’s Division of Scholarships were present at RIA to support and ensure a smooth departure for the students.
The beneficiaries will pursue degree programs ranging from two to seven years in key national priority areas including TVET, Medicine, Geology, Engineering, Tourism Management, Computer Science, and Nursing. This initiative reflects the Ministry’s ongoing work to strengthen the skills pipeline under the Human Capital Development pillar of the ARREST Agenda, ensuring that education continues to serve as the foundation for national growth, innovation, and opportunity.
