The Liberia National Police (LNP) on Sunday proudly received a high-level delegation from the Sierra Leone Police Service (SLP), marking a significant step toward strengthening bilateral ties and enhancing regional security cooperation between the two sisterly institutions. The delegation, comprising three Assistant Inspector Generals (AIGs), is in Liberia for a five-day official working visit. Their mission follows the recent visit of LNP Inspector General, Hon. Gregory Coleman, to Sierra Leone an engagement that reaffirmed the shared commitment of both institutions to deepen collaboration in policing, security operations, and professional development. The visiting officials include:
• AIG John Martin Senesie – Director of Operations
• AIG Brima Kanneh – Commander, Freetown East
• AIG Andrew Mustapha Kamara – Commander, Freetown South During their stay, the Sierra Leonean police executives will engage in strategic meetings with the LNP leadership, discuss cross-border security concerns, and explore avenues for enhanced cooperation in crime prevention, intelligence sharing, operational readiness, and community policing.
The visit is also expected to promote knowledge exchange in modern policing practices and law enforcement reforms. Inspector General Coleman emphasized that the visit underscores the strong bond between the two West African nations and reflects a shared determination to confront common security challenges collaboratively. “Liberia and Sierra Leone have a long history of partnership,” he said. “This visit strengthens our mutual commitment to improving public safety and maintaining peace across our borders.”
The LNP Media Team is currently on the ground to provide full coverage of the delegation’s arrival and activities. Live updates, photos, and video highlights will be available on the Liberia National Police LNP official platforms throughout the visit. The LNP expresses appreciation to the Sierra Leone Police Service for honoring this engagement and looks forward to a productive and impactful week of cooperation aimed at enhancing law enforcement capabilities in both countries.
