The National TVET Job Fair and Expo 2025 officially opened today at the Invincible Park in Sinkor, Monrovia, convening hundreds of young people, training institutions, private sector employers, and development partners for a full day of engagement, learning, and opportunity. The highly anticipated event is designed to promote Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) as a central pillar for employment creation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable national development.

By bringing key actors together under one platform, the Job Fair & Expo provides a direct bridge between skilled Liberian youth and potential employers across a range of industries. Throughout the day, participants are engaging with companies and institutions operating in construction, information technology, agriculture, hospitality, fashion and tailoring, mechanical engineering, electrical installation, and several other technical fields. Exhibitors are also showcasing innovative products, tools, and prototypes developed through various vocational training programs, highlighting the transformative potential of skills-based education.

According to organizers, the National TVET Job Fair & Expo forms part of a broader national strategy aimed at reducing youth unemployment, strengthening the country’s human capital, and promoting self-reliance among Liberia’s growing youthful population. They emphasized that empowering young people with practical skills remains essential for boosting productivity and accelerating national progress. “We believe that TVET is not just an education pathway it is a solution to poverty, unemployment, and economic vulnerability,” the organizing team noted.

“Today’s event gives our young people the visibility, connections, and confidence they need to transition successfully into the workforce or launch their own businesses.” Many job seekers attending the fair expressed optimism that the event will lead to meaningful opportunities, including job placements, apprenticeships, internships, and long-term business relationships.

For others, the Expo offers a chance to gain career guidance, professional exposure, and insights into emerging trends in the technical and vocational sector. The National TVET Job Fair & Expo 2025 continues through the day at Invincible Park, offering a dynamic space for networking, skills promotion, and economic empowerment for Liberia’s next generation of professionals and entrepreneurs.
