Authorities in Nimba County have launched a full-scale investigation into the deaths of two men discovered early Friday, November 28, 2025, along a farm road between Blohn and Kpoapa towns. The deceased, believed by community members to have been involved in an overnight pig theft, were found lifeless in what police are describing as a suspected mob justice incident. According to reports from residents, the incident began around 2:30 a.m. when pigs were heard crying at the home of local farmer Mixson Zarwolo. Upon checking his pen, Zarwolo allegedly encountered unknown individuals attacking his animals.

His alarm reportedly mobilized nearby community members who immediately launched a search for the intruders. Sources say the community captured two of three suspected pig thieves during the pursuit. One of the apprehended men, Robertson Robert of Kpoapa, was accused of leading the alleged theft attempt. In a startling development, Robertson’s father, Robert Suah, reportedly turned him over to the crowd, describing his son as a “notorious criminal” who had recently been released from prison. Witnesses claim the two suspects were later taken by an angry mob to an undisclosed location, where they were allegedly beaten and killed.

Their bodies were discovered hours later along the farm road, sparking concern and prompting immediate police involvement. The Liberia National Police detachment in Flumpa has since arrested Suah and two other individuals believed to be connected to the incident. Investigators say the arrests are part of ongoing efforts to determine the circumstances surrounding both the alleged theft and the suspected mob action that led to the deaths.

Authorities further disclosed that the bodies of the two men remained unclaimed for three days as police worked to establish their identities and contact relatives. Community members in Blohn, Kpoapa, and surrounding towns have been urged to remain calm and allow the legal process to proceed. Police officials reiterated that mob justice is illegal and warned against communities taking the law into their own hands, emphasizing that such actions undermine the rule of law and place lives at risk.

“The Liberia National Police condemns any form of mob violence,” a police spokesperson stated. “We encourage citizens to report suspected crimes to the appropriate authorities and allow due process to take its course.” Investigations into the incident continue, and the police are expected to release additional details as new information becomes available.
