Nimba County Electoral District #7 Representative Musa Hassan Bility has raised an alarm over what he describes as a “serious departure from fairness and due process” in the ongoing proceedings against fellow lawmaker Yekeh Kolubah, warning that the integrity of the House is at stake.In a formal complaint addressed to Speaker Richard Nagbe Koon, Bility argued that the Rules, Order, and Administration Committee denied Representative Yekeh Y. Kolubah meaningful legal representation and proceeded without clearly outlining the legal basis of the allegations.

He cautioned that such actions are not minor missteps but “a grave matter” that undermines confidence in the legislature and sets a dangerous precedent."Today it is Kolubah. Tomorrow it may be any one of us," Bility warned, urging the plenary to halt the current process and ensure that any further proceedings strictly adhere to constitutional standards, including the full right to counsel and clear disclosure of charges.Bility is now calling for an immediate review of the committee's conduct and for a more legally grounded process to safeguard both the rights of the accused and the credibility of the House. 

Bility's call follows the dramatic hearing into Rep. Yekeh Kolubah's "treason" allegation. Kolubah is facing scrutiny over remarks made about the Liberia-Guinea border disputed land saga.Bility's communication was read on Thursday, April 16, 2026, in plenary and is awaiting a decision from the plenary.
