EFFL Commissions Montserrado County District Leadership Under the Banner: “The Revolution Has No Room for Pretenders”

Monday, June 23, 2025

The Economic Freedom Fighters of Liberia (EFFL) on June 21, 2025 commissioned the newly appointed district leadership of Montserrado County, signaling a new phase in its revolutionary movement for justice, equity, and true national transformation. Held under the uncompromising theme, “The Revolution Has No Room for Pretenders,” the commissioning ceremony brought together EFFL commanders, district gladiators, youth leaders, and grassroots members who gathered to ignite what party leaders described as a "rebirth of people-centered politics" in Liberia’s most populous and politically strategic county.

Addressing the gathering, party leadership issued a clarion call to the newly inducted leaders:

“We are not merely commissioning leaders—we are commissioning revolutionaries. If you’re here for convoys, salutes, or self-enrichment—you are in the wrong place.

The EFFL does not breed cowards, nurture thieves, or elevate sellouts.” EFFL described the induction as a historical milestone that marks the decentralization of its radical agenda and the deepening of its grassroots mobilization. The party emphasized that Montserrado, as the heartbeat of the nation, will now serve as the headquarters of revolutionary politics in Liberia.

Key Themes and Messages Delivered During the Ceremony:

  • Commitment to Revolutionary Leadership: The EFFL reminded the new officials that leadership is not a privilege, but a sacred duty to serve the people, particularly the poor, the vulnerable, and the forgotten.
  • Code of Values: The organization reaffirmed its five core pillars: Radical Honesty, Discipline, Courage, Service, and Solidarity—values it expects every leader to uphold with unwavering integrity.
  • Accountability and Vigilance: Leaders were warned that betrayal of the people’s trust would result in immediate expulsion. “The revolution has no room for pretenders,” the statement reiterated.
  • National Expansion Plans: The party vowed to replicate similar induction ceremonies across all 15 counties, expanding its base from Grand Bassa to Lofa, Nimba to Maryland, with the aim of building a new generation of fearless and selfless leaders.

EFFL also criticized the political elite for economic mismanagement, systemic corruption, and hypocrisy in governance. The movement positioned itself as the only political force in Liberia that not only speaks truth to power but also lives out its values through action and discipline. The EFFL pledged to intensify efforts in mobilization, civic education, policy advocacy, and grassroots organizing to awaken the masses and build a political alternative free from the old order of deceit, poverty, and division. As the nation looks toward the future, the Economic Freedom Fighters of Liberia have made it clear: the revolution has begun—and it will be uncompromising.
