Groundbreaking Ceremony for Bambu Town Bridge Set for July 12, 2025

A major milestone in the development of Gbarpolu County is set to take place on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., as the groundbreaking ceremony for the long-awaited Bambu Town Bridge will be officially held. This critical infrastructure project is made possible through the leadership, vision, and generosity of Hon. Musa Hassan Bility, Political Leader of the Citizens Movement for Change (CMC), along with the strong legislative oversight and advocacy of Hon. Zinnah A. Norman, Representative of Electoral District #1, Gbarpolu County. The Bambu Town Bridge will serve as a vital connection between Bambu Town and neighboring communities, linking them directly to Bopolu City, the county capital. Once completed, the bridge will significantly improve transportation, trade, and access to essential services including markets, schools, and healthcare facilities. "This project is about more than just concrete and steel," said Hon. Zinnah A. Norman. "It is about building hope, connecting communities, and unlocking the economic potential of Gbarpolu County." The ceremony is expected to draw local leaders, community elders, youth groups, civil society actors, and residents from across the county. All citizens of Bopolu District and Gbarpolu County are warmly invited to attend and participate in this historic event, which marks a turning point in the region’s development journey. Hon. Musa Hassan Bility, known for his philanthropic and development-oriented work across Liberia, emphasized that the bridge project reflects his deep commitment to rural development and infrastructure improvement. “The people of Gbarpolu deserve access to the same opportunities as anyone else in Liberia,” Hon. Bility stated. “The Bambu Town Bridge is not just an investment in infrastructure—it’s an investment in the future of our people.” Once completed, the Bambu Town Bridge is expected to stimulate local commerce, reduce travel time, and enhance emergency response capabilities, particularly during the rainy season when many communities become isolated. This groundbreaking marks the beginning of a project that will leave a lasting legacy for generations to come. The Citizens Movement for Change and the Office of Hon. Zinnah A. Norman reaffirm their commitment to grassroots development and community-driven progress
