NPA Boss Engages at AfricaMed Business Forum in Morocco

The Managing Director of the National Port Authority (NPA), Mr. Sekou Hussein Dukuly, is currently representing Liberia at the prestigious AfricaMed Business Forum, taking place in the Kingdom of Morocco from June 19–20, 2025.The AfricaMed Business Forum brings together more than 500 participants from across Africa and beyond, including policymakers, investors, entrepreneurs, and business leaders. This year’s theme, “Removing Barriers: 

Innovative Financing Strategies and Public-Private Partnerships for Development in Africa,” emphasizes the need for collaborative approaches to tackling development challenges and unlocking economic potential across the continent.

Mr. Dukuly’s invitation to the Forum reflects growing recognition of Liberia’s strategic role in regional maritime development and the ongoing transformation within the country’s port infrastructure sector. He joins other high-level thought leaders to exchange insights, forge partnerships, and promote opportunities for investment, innovation, and impact the central pillars of this year’s conference agenda. As Managing Director of the NPA, Mr. Dukuly has been instrumental in advancing port reforms, improving operational efficiency, and positioning Liberia’s seaports as gateways for regional trade. His engagement at the Forum offers an important platform to highlight Liberia’s commitment to public-private partnerships (PPPs) and explore new financing models to support sustainable infrastructure development.

“This Forum is a valuable opportunity for Liberia to share its progress and learn from other African nations that are implementing innovative financing strategies and unlocking economic potential through strategic investments,” said Mr. Dukuly during a side session on regional infrastructure development. “Our participation here strengthens Liberia’s role in driving the conversation on maritime development, trade facilitation, and investment readiness.”
